All-Natural Cinnamon Apple Home Fragrance

This is one post that I really wish I had "smell-a-vision" to share with you.  Today, we're making an all-natural home fragrance that will leave your house smelling like cinnamon apple perfection all day long.

I have a friend who's very sensitive to the scents used in candles, air fresheners, perfumes, etc.  If you or someone you know has a similar issue, this all-natural home fragrance is the perfect alternative to using plug-in oil diffusers and super-scented candles.

You can whip up a pot of this economical, super simple home fragrance in just a few minutes.  All you need is:

1-2 Apples, Quartered (any variety)
4 Cinnamon Sticks
1 tsp. Whole Cloves
1 tsp. Allspice
1 tbsp. Vanilla Extract

Put all of the ingredients in a saucepan and cover with water.  (I used about 6 cups of water in my pan).  Stick on a back burner of your stove and turn on low heat.  Leave the saucepan uncovered.  After about 15 minutes, the water will start simmering and begin releasing all the lovely Fall scents in the air.  Your whole house will smell delicious within an hour.  You can keep the pot simmering all day if you want, just make sure to add more water periodically.

Wasn't that easy!  Do you ever use all-natural products to clean and freshen your home?  What are some of your favorites?  Join me here again tomorrow for Day 12 of our "31 Days of Fall".
